Welcome to the Chameleon Theatre's website where you can find out about our productions, past and present, and discover more about us, see photos and details of some of our recent plays. New members are always welcome so we hope these pages will give you some idea of our varied activities.

We are always pleased to receive feedback from our audience. Click here for a lovely review by Enid and Doug Pollock of one of our April Trio of Plays: O, What a Lovers’ War. A Review by Ben Williams and a Review by Allison Symes of our April Trio of Plays were also gratefully received.

Helping the community

This year (2017 - 18) we are supporting Hampshire Art for Recreation and Therapy.

hArt (Hampshire Art for Recreation and Therapy) is a charity, established in 2014, that helps to change the lives of adults and children with mental health and wider social issues.

During 2016 - 2017 we supported Rethink Mental Illness. With the generosity of Chameleon Theatre audiences we managed to raise £747. Thank you!

About us

Chameleon Theatre Company has been presenting plays to the people of Chandler's Ford since 1965.

Join Chameleons

Do you want to be part of the Company that stages an Alan Ayckbourn play or an Oscar Wilde classic or a rip roaring Pantomime? Then join the Chameleons.

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 in the Ritchie Memorial Hall. In addition the cast will meet at one member's home for further rehearsal as necessary, usually on Thursday evenings.

A production is not just about "treading the boards"; putting on a play needs a wide variety of skills and usually more backstage and front of house staff than there are cast on stage!

Thinking about a new hobby?

Why not come and join us at Chameleons for a new challenge!

There are lots of jobs besides performing on stage
